H2 Eco Challenger is a student senior design team studying mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado Denver.  To capstone our curriculum, during the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semester, we will design and build a highly fuel efficient hydrogen fueled vehicle to compete in the 2013 Shell Eco-Marathon Americas competition.

Competition goals:

  1. Complete 10 laps (0.6 mile per lap)
  2. Maintain an average speed of 15 mph
  3. Complete course within 24 minutes
  4. Achieve at least 2000 mpg
